Mangaluru: A woman, who was duped in connection with a loan from an Agricultural Service Cooperative Bank, has submitted a memorandum to Minister Sunil Kumar.
The aggrieved woman appealed to District In-Charge Minister Sunil Kumar, who arrived at the Karinjeswara Temple in Bantwal Taluk of the Dakshina Kannada District, to provide justice.
After a chaos that a Kavalamoodur Agricultural Service Cooperative Bank has allegedly duped its borrowers, the woman has appealing to the Minister against the same bank has made a lot of news.
Deekamma, a resident of Mulkajemada, had taken a loan of Rs. 3 lakh against her 3.7 acre of agricultural land.
“But the bank has cheated me by mentioning Rs. 3 lakh as Rs. 19 lakh, and hence please give me justice,” she said.
Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik said, “I have instructed the Cooperative Department to investigate the matter after I received complaints from locals about the cooperative society. An investigation is underway and action will be taken after the report,” he said.
Responding to the plea, Minister Sunil Kumar assured that he would sincerely work to get the information and provide justice to the victims as it is already under investigation.
