Mangaluru: In connection with an attempt to disturb the peace, three people who created disturbances many places in the Taluk on Tuesday September 27 have been arrested and produced before the Tahasildar.
PFI District President Ijaz Ahmed, Feroze Khan, and Razique are the arrested. The arrested have been remanded to judicial custody for seven days.
In this background, a tight police presence has been arranged around Bantwal BC Road.
Arrest and interrogation of PFI workers in connection with many cases has been going on for a few days now, as a part of this operation Bantwal Town and Rural Police have taken action as per instructions of senior police officers.
The police went to the houses of PFI workers around Bantwal and arrested three of them and detained them under the Prevention Act for the maximum period of time and presented them before Bantwal Tahasildar and Executive Judge Dr. Smita Ramu.
