Mangaluru ATMs say ‘Out of Cash’, dampen festive mood

Mangaluru: With long holidays on the eve of Second Saturday, Sunday, Durgapuja, Ayudhpuja, Vijaya Dashami, all banks have been closed straight for five days from Saturday till Wednesday. The general public which relies on the alternative mode of cash withdrawal will definitely face problems as most of the ATM’s in the city display “Out of Cash” boards on them.

With three more holidays to continue, one may have to face serious problems if the authorities responsible for the ATMs do not swing into action and fill these “Automated Teller Machines”.

A customer who toured different ATM’s in search of one with cash speaking to NewsKarnataka said, “Even though we can understand it’s a holiday, banks should not be so irresponsible and take their customers for granted. Alternate arrangements should be done to load these machines”.
