Mangaluru: An Aadhaar card found in a seriously injured person in the auto blast held in the City on Saturday November 19 has shocked the State. The Aadhaar Card belonged to a man who was working in the Railways in Tumakuru named Premraj Hutagi, a native of Hubballi.

As it has come to light that Premraj’s Aadhaar Card was lost twice and once six months ago, the injured person now identified as Sharique misused Premraj’s lost Aaadhar Card as it now found that Aadhar Card found with Sharique was fake.

As soon as the Police got to know about the fake Aadhaar Card started investigation and found the real identity of the person.

On September 19, Shivamogga police had arrested Syed Yasin (21), a resident of Siddheshwaranagara, and Maj Muneer (22) of Mangaluru in connection with the bomb blast on the banks of Tunga river. However, Sharique of Theerthahalli, who is the A1 accused in the case, had gone missing. Though the police laid a trap to nab him, he could not be caught. But now he has been caught in Mangaluru after the cooker explosion.

Meanwhile, the NIA has taken into custody a suspected terrorist, a PFI leader, at the Mangaluru Airport on the afternoon Sunday November 20.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner said that there was a link between the incident that took place in Coimbatore last month and Saturday’s incident and added that 10 teams has been formed to probe the case.

Coming to Premraj, who is working as a Railwayu Trackman in Tumakur and living in a rented house at Hirehalli in Tumakuru. He had lost his Aadhaar card twice in the last two years. Once while he was travelling to Belagavi in a bus and six months ago at a bus in Hubballi. Now, an Aadhaar Card in the name of the same person was found in exploded autorickshaw, leading to suspicion.

Speaking to mediapersons Premraj said that, “The police had contacted him and asked him to meet the Tumakuru SP, as soon as he came to know about the incident. He then contacted Tumakuru SP Rahul Kumar. I have nothing to do with the blast incident. My card has been misused. The police had come to my house on Saturday and have also conducted inspection,” he added.
