Mangaluru: Recently a video that had gone viral in which two men were seen carrying an ailing 70-year-old lady on their shoulders, has now got new twist now.
The incident happened at Balakka of Noojibalthila Village in Kadaba Taluk that allegedly showed the bad condition of roads. However, an incident that took place here has given a new twist to the issue. On Thursday August 25, a jeep carrying a load of arecanut from the old lady’s house was seen making its way on the same road. This enraged the locals and they have now questioned the men who carried old-lady. They have been lambasted and asked what was the motive behind spreading such misinformation about the road condition.
The Gram Panchayat member now suspects it to be an act undertaken to tarnish the image of the local legislator and the Gram Panchayat.
As per the locals the jeep was moving around hassle-free for two to three days on the same road despite heavy rains.
