Mangaluru: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has decided to take Mohammed Shariq, the main accused in the cooker blast case into custody following his recovery.
Shariq was receiving burn injuries treatment in Victoria Hospital and has recovered from the injuries.
The NIA has now decided to detain him for questioning after his recovery.
On November 19 in Mangaluru, Shariq allegedly had a cooker bomb in his possession when it exploded, injuring him and the auto-rickshaw driver.
About 40 per cent of the accused’s body had burn injuries. He was taken to the Victoria Hospital for further treatment because ensuring his survival was crucial to the investigation.
