Mangaluru: The mortal remains of a young man from Bengaluru who drowned in the Kumaradhara River on August 21 were recovered on Wednesday August 24.
The deceased has been identified as Swami Shivu (25), a Mandya native. He was working in a Bengaluru-based company.
Shivu drowned near the Kukke Subramanya Temple’s bathing ghat.
Professional swimmers, Fire service officers, home guards, Subrahmanya police, Revenue officers, local people representatives, and residents searched for the body of the young man. His mortal remains were found after a four-day search at a distance of 1.5 km from the bathing ghat.
After a postmortem at Subrahmanya Primary Health Centre, the body was taken to Mandya.
A case has been filed in this regard by the Subrahmanya police.
