Mangaluru: The body of Ashwith (19) who had drowned in the River Netravati near Talemogaru inside the Sajipapadu panchayat limits on Sunday July 3 was recovered on Wednesday at Kotepura Kodi in Ullal.

According to sources, Ashwith travelled to Sajipapadu to take part in a cradling ceremony at Nagesh Ganiga’s house. It is reported that he went to the Netravati River to play with his friends. At this point in time, Ashwith and one of his friends named Harsha began drowning.

However, Ashwith had already drowned when Harsha was rescued by his friends. Ashwith’s body was found from seashores on Wednesday after rescue operations continued for the past two days.
