Mangaluru: A bus conductor has been arrested under POCSO Act. The accused has been identified as Dawal Saab, a resident of Bagalakote who was held earlier this month.
The victim, a student of Kalladka Educational Institution, had lodged a complaint with Bantwal City Police Station alleging that the girl, who was returning home from Kalladka one afternoon was harassed.
All the passengers in the bus had alighted at Panemangaluru Bus Stop while coming from Kalladka.
According to the complaint, the victim, the driver and the conductor of the bus were only three people in the bus when he molested her.
Within half-an-hour of the case being registered, the accused was arrested under the leadership of Bantwal City Police Inspector Vivekananda, Bantwal City Police Station Sub-Inspector Ramakrishna and team arrested him.
