Mangaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai informed that he will convene a special meeting with National Highways Authority of India officials soon to find a long-term solution for the Shiradi Ghat Road.

Speaking to mediapersons on Saturday December 10, he said that the meeting will discuss asphalting, white topping, and tunnel within a week and propose a solution.

“The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses are operating in Maharashtra, although further instructions have been provided to take additional steps,” said Chief Minister about the border dispute.

“A meeting of the Chief Ministers of both states will be called by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on December 14. A delegation of Karnataka MPs will meet Shah on Monday to give him a memo. The State is committed to protecting the interests of Kannadigas residing in Maharashtra as well as the State interest,” he added.
