Mangaluru: ‘Cooker bomb blast, BJP in touch with victim’s family’

Mangaluru: MLA B. Vedavyas Kamath said “We are helping Purushottam Poojary, the victim of the cooker bomb blast, in every possible way and it is not right to cook up political stories in heinous acts like terrorist activities.”

He further assured, “I am in touch with the family of autorickshaw driver Purushottam Poojary, who was injured in a cooker bomb blast in Naguri and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. BJP Mandal Leaders have already met Purushottam Poojary, who is in the hospital, through whom financial assistance has been given on a personal basis, he noted.

“Our workers are with the family members and responding to their needs,” he said.

“The Government has been responding positively to providing relief funds. All processes will be completed as per rules and the compensation will be released, he asserted.

MLA Kamath said that arrangements will be made to get an autorickshaw for Purushottam Poojary for his livelihood by providing a new autorickshaw in the previous permit.

BJP leaders Vijay Kumar Shetty, Jagadish Shenava, Corporator Sandeep Garodi, Surendra Jappinamogaru, Kiran Rai and others visited Father Muller Hospital and met Purushottam Poojary and to reassure the family members.
