Mangaluru: A couple has been found dead under mysterious circumstances at Pilaru under Ullal Police Station limits on the afternoon on Thursday October 27.
The body of Shivananda Poojary (55), a resident of Pilaru, was found hanging in a garden while his wife Shobha Poojary (45) was found lying in a room. When his son Karthik called his mother in the afternoon, she did not respond and he enquired with a woman nearby. Shobha’s body was found when they reached the house. Soon after, the body of Shivananda Poojary too was found hanging in a nearby garden.
It is alleged that Shivanand, who appeared to be acting suspiciously, strangled his wife before hanging himself in the garden.
A Forensic team has visited the spot and is examining the two bodies. Police officials said that whether Shobha is murdered or no can be clarified only after the report given by the Forensic team.
