Mangaluru: A doctor was duped of nearly Rs. 60,000 by a fraudster who posed as a private bank representative and convinced him to provide his credit card details to receive reward points.

According to sources, the scammer informed the doctor that it was the last date to use his credit card reward points.

The doctor was lured by the offer and even made the mistake of sharing the OTP he had received on his phone.

The fraudster then carried out a transaction of Rs. 60,000 following which the doctor registered a complaint with the police.
