Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, water from fish mill waste flowed along the road and locals blocked the tanker lorry in Ullal and protested on Saturday January 28.

A tanker carrying fish meal waste was on its way to a factory in Ullal Kotepura on the morning of Saturday when it was spilling stinking chemically mixed waste along the road from Abbakka Circle to Mogaveerapattana.

Ganesh Ullal, a local fisherman, said that the fish meal factories in Ullal Kotepura are operating in violation of Government regulations.

The fish meal factory, which took cognisance of the incident, cleaned the road using tanker water and Ullal Municipal Commissioner Vidya Kale visited the spot and took action against the driver to safely dispose of the waste from the tanker.
