Mangaluru: Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot visited Subrahmanya of Dakshina Kanada District on Thursday June 30. He and his wife performed Sarpa Samskara at the Kukke Subrahmanya Kshetra. First, he bowed to the Lord Subrahmanya from outside the Temple and then performed rituals of Sarpa Samskara as those performing rituals are not allowed to enter the temple.
The purpose of the Governor’s visit was kept secret. It was said that he had come to have deity’s darshan and interact with the beneficiaries of the Government.
The Temple is known as the center of the remedy for naga doshas.
