Mangaluru: Heavy rains are lashing Dakshina Kannada District disrupting normal lives.
The City outskirts are worst-affected. Several houses of Padil, and Kannur in the City outskirts are in danger due to landslide that has occurred near Bollur Gudde. As it is hilly area people are scared of losing their properties and lives.
Elsewhere in the City, road connectivity has been cut off in many places due to landslides including a road near Mangaluru Airport. Heavy rains are likely to occur for the next two days and therefore holiday has been declared in Dakshina Kannada District. IMD has issued Red Alert for Friday July 8 and Saturday July 9.
