Mangaluru: Due to the heavy rains that have been pouring for the past few days, there has been a landslide in Jogila Bailu of Paduperara Gram Panchayat, and the nearby houses are facing danger.
The heaps of mud from the collapsed hills has fallen on the road and on the side of the nearby house causing immense damage. The hill near the houses are fragile and as a result the houses and its inmates are facing danger.
There is no barrier here. Every year during the rainy season, there is a landslide. However, there was no landslide of such a large scale. The local residents have demanded that a permanent barrier should be built at the edge of the hill.
