Mangaluru: Two two-wheeler riders were killed on the spot when the accident took place at Nanthoor Circle in the City at around 12 noon on Saturday March 18.
Two persons on a two-wheeler were waiting for a signal when a lorry rammed into the two-wheeler, killing two riders on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Samuel Yesudas of Balmatta, as per the information found in the vehicle of the deceased. The other rider who died is a 17-year-old girl.
The lorry driver was thrashed by the locals and stones were pelted at the vehicle, leading to a tense situation at the spot. The lorry driver was taken into custody by the Traffic Police who were on duty in Nanthoor.
