Mangaluru: The education that they get in madrasas today is the reason that heinous acts such as Hindus being killed in the country, police are assaulted, houses destroyed and Hindus are beaten at shops and on the roads, alleged Vishwa Hindu Parishad Divisional Secretary Sharan Pumpwell.

Speaking to mediapersons, he said the youth educated through madrasas are now assaulting Hindus. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal staged a massive protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Dakshina Kannada against the killing of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, Rajasthan. “A lot of Hindus have been killed in this country but yesterday’s gruesome killing of an innocent Hindu in Rajasthan’s Udaipur is perhaps a tragedy we have never seen before. Like an innocent trader a man comes to his shop in the guise of business and not only cuts his throat but also takes pleasure in shooting a video of it, think about the extent of his cruelty.”

“Islam is a symbol of peace. The Muslims of this country repeatedly say that we are called terrorists even though we live peacefully in the country. But Islam is not a symbol of peace, it is the path of violence. Anarchy is being created in the country today with hindu activists being assaulted, our temples being attacked with no questions asked,” he said.

Addressing the protest, Pumpwell said all the saints and swamis of the country, should send a message of inspiration for the youth, and called on all Hindus to condemn the incident in Rajasthan. Please break the silence and condemn it, he urged.
