Here is such innovation called master wood stove that will help people manage wood log shortage and also rising gas prices. This master wood stove is manufactured at Jowin Wood & Engineering Works, a workshop in Venoor.
Designed like a gas stove, the master wood stove is capable of burning for 24 hours with just an hour of charging. This stove can also be used with coal. One can save up to 80 per cent more than a gas stove. Just a kg of wood has the ability to burn throughout the day and the smoke is less than a regular stove. This high-quality stove also has a provision that helps adjust the flames just like in a gas stove.
The master wood stove has been manufactured by John D’Souza of Venoor, who has earlier manufactured a master gun to scare monkeys. After completing his education in Venoor, he worked in the Gulf for a few years and now for the past 22 years, he has been living in Venoor.
Speaking to News Karnataka, John D’Souza said that the master wood stove was made by him at his workshop. People will be greatly benefitted by this, he said. This stove is not yet available in the market. There is a plan to make it available in the market from now on. So far, around 50 master wood stoves have been sold, locally, he said.
The master wood stove weighs around 12 kgs. It is priced at Rs 4,000.
