Mangaluru: Narcotic drugs collected from police destroyed

Mangaluru: Narcotic drugs like ganja and MDMA seized from eight Police Station limits under the jurisdiction of the Police Commissionerate here were destroyed in the industrial area of Mulki on Friday March 24.

In all, 1 kg 802 grams of ganja seized in six cases under CEN Police Station limits, 1 kg 328 grams of ganja seized in cases under Konaje Police Station limits, 520 grams of ganja seized in one case under Panambur Police Station limits, 1 kg 218 grams of ganja seized in a case under Mangaluru South Police Station limits, 2 kg 456 grams of ganja seized in six cases under Mangaluru North Police Station limits 0.14 grams MDMA 15 grams, 510 grams ganja in 3 cases under Surathkal Police Station limits, 1 kg 660 grams ganja seized in 2 cases under Bijai Police Station limits and 700 grams of ganja seized in 1 case under Kankanady Police Station limits.

A total of 11 kgs of 194 grams of ganja and 14 mg of MDMA were destroyed in Mangaluru City Commissionerate limits. Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Kuldeep Jain, DCP (Crime and Traffic) Dinesh and Police Inspectors of eight police stations were present.
