Mangaluru: The State Police Department, which has given priority gor online services, has now made it possible to register complaints online in case of vehicle thefts and accept FIRs online.
The e-FIR can be obtained through the citizen centric portal of the State Police’s official website//www.ksp.karnataka.gov.in. The supporting document should be uploaded by entering the name, address, Aadhaar number, and details of the stolen vehicle on the portal. The place of theft should be informed. The location can also be selected through the map.
Once a complaint is lodged on the portal, an SMS will be sent to the concerned station house officer and complainant. The online document verification will be completed and the e-FIR will be prepared with the e-signature of the station house officer.
It can be downloaded by the complainant.
