Mangaluru: BJP Backward Classes Morcha State President N. L. Narendra Babu on Saturday July 23 said that the BJP, both at the Centre and State, has prioritised the political upliftment of the backward classes.
He was speaking at a special event of the BJP District Backward Classes Morcha held in Shaktinagar on Saturday. Babu noted that the party’s governments at the centre and State have provided special status, opportunities, and projects to ensure that the backward classes have political representation.
Babu urged the Backward Classes Morcha to work hard to achieve the goal of winning 150 seats in the State’s next Assembly elections, noting that backward classes had played an important part in the growth and organisation of the party.
He asked the Morcha to raise public awareness of the government’s programmes and services for uplifting the backward classes and to work to effectively reach them.
