Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District In-Charge Minister V. Sunil Kumar said that the State Government has taken a serious note of the murder of Praveen Nettaru in Bellare on the night of Tuesday July 26 and has discussed the matter with the Home Minister Araga Jnanendra. The attack and murder of BJP’s youth leader, the innocent Praveen Bellare, is condemnable. The Government can’t keep quiet after seeing this, he said and added that the incident has already been reported to the Home Minister after collecting information from the Superintendent of Police.
He added, “Instructions have been given to form a team to nab the accused at the earliest. The Government will sincerely work to crack down on miscreants who are disturbing peace in Dakshina Kannada District. No one should get agitated over Praveen’s murder. The people of Dakshina Kannada District are peace-lovers, he appealed.
Meanwhile, Former Minister and MLA U. T. Khader condemned the killing and demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits and legal action against them.
“The recent incidents that have taken place in matter of few days show that anti-social elements and murderers are not afraid of the Government. In this Government there is no atmosphere of security and peace for the common man. The killing of Masood and Praveen in matter of week at Bellare Village in Sullia Taluk is very painful. This proves that the goons and murderers have no fear of the Government and the Law. It is the responsibility of the Government and the Police Department to take precautionary measures taking cognisance of the incident that has taken place in the past, he noted.
Condemning the killing of Praveen, MLA Khader has urged the Government along with the Home Minister and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai to crack all these incidents and arrest the real culprits at the earliest and take appropriate legal action. Khader too appealed to all castes, creeds and classes to come together to fight against any anti-social elements and murderers and to extend full cooperation to the Police Department collectively in the society to track down the culprits of such an act.
Further, Vishwa Hindu Parishad Prantha Saha Karyadarshi Sharan Pumpwell stated that the killing of Bellare Praveen Nettar of Sullia in Dakshina Kannada District last night by fanatics and miscreants is highly condemnable.
In a release, he stated that, “Hindus are being killed here by people from Kerala and these Kerala fanatics have links with Jihadi mentality fanatics. The Police Department should immediately arrest the accused and take appropriate legal action. The Government should take the matter seriously and conduct an NIA investigation. The culprits should be punished severely as soon as possible. The killing of Hindus in Dakshina Kannada District has been going on continuously due to the failure of the Police and Intelligence agencies to track down religious fanatics’ activities. The Government should immediately work towards strengthening the intelligence wing of the Police Department, he stressed.
