Mangaluru: The month-long fast of Ramzan will begin in Mangaluru and Udupi from Thursday March 23 and will be celebrated for a month.
Dakshina Kannada District Qazi Alhaj Thwakha Ahmed Musliyar and Udupi District Qazi Sheikhuna M.bAbdul Hameed Musliyar Mani have issued a press release for Muslims to begin their fast following the sighting of the moon at Kadak in Kerala.
The fasting month will begin on Thursday in the coastal areas and the rest of the country it will begin from Friday March 24.
