Mangaluru: Rs 9 lakh stolen from flower merchant’s shop

Mangaluru: Thieves have stolen Rs. 9 lakh in cash from the flower store on the ground level of a building on K. S. Rao Road in the City on the night of Wednesday November 16.

The owner, the resident of Kankanady has been running a wholesale flower business. Every day, he would bring money to his house. As he had to pay the flower suppliers the money next day, on Wednesday, he left Rs. 9 lakh in cash inside the table’s drawer. He then locked the store at 6.00 pm and left.

Next day, the owner’s son who reached the shop found the lock broken and informed his father immediately, who then arrived. The thieves also stole the CCTV camera and DVR.

Bunder Police has registered a case and is investigating.
