Mangaluru: A summons has been issued to M. Varadaraya Prabhu by a court here in connection with a defamation case involving the Sevanjali Charitable Trust, which is headed by MLA Vedavyasa Kamath.
Prabhu is accused of filing a fake complaint with the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner and the DK Registrar.
The second JMFC Court in the City got a defamation case from MLA Vedavyas Kamath. According to the suite, Sevanjali Charitable Trust has been functioning for the past 18 years, and its trustees are of good social standing. Prabhu is also accused of making claims against the organisation’s trustees to defame them due to personal enmity.
