Mangaluru: Sexual assault on boy, accused held

Mangaluru: In connection with a case of a minor boy sexually assaulted while getting a parcel from the hotel. The owner of the hotel has been arrested at Kalladka of Bantwal Taluk in the District on Friday October 7.

The accused has been identified as Mohammed Ashraf, owner of a hotel situated on Vittala Road at Kalladka. Mohammed attempted to sexually assault the boy on Wednesday October 4 but the victim boy resisted his attempt. Mohammed had later assaulted him and threatened to kill him.

Two months ago, the victim had been to the hotel owned by accused to buy chicken tikka. Ashraf had called the boy to come inside the hotel to collect the carry bag and then took him to a farm nearby and sexually harassed him.
