Mangaluru: ‘Strengthening Backward Classes will give new political turn’

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District In-Charge Minister V. Sunil Kumar said that the convention is being organised with the aim of strengthening the Backward Classes Morcha organisation in order to take a new turn in the State politics.

He was speaking after inaugurating a special meeting of Backward Class Leaders organised by the BJP Backward Classes Morcha at Sparsh Kala Mandir in BC Road here on Tuesday September 27. In order to make the Backward Morcha Convention at Gulbarga on October 30 a success, a special meeting of the Morcha will be held at the Taluk level and open discussions are being held. Preparations are underway to ensure that at least 5,000 people from Dakshina Kannada District will participate in the conclave, he said..

“The Central Government and the State Government have effectively implemented various schemes for the development of the Backward Classes. As per the instructions of the High Commandant in order to strengthen the party further, various morchas and party events are scheduled to be held at different places. The BJP and the Government have consistently done the work of giving priority to the Backward Classes, he said and added that the Backward Class communities have traditionally supported the BJP. And the Backward Morcha has a big contribution to BJP’s power and organisational development, he noted.

State BJP Backward Morcha President N. L. Narendra Babu said, “We have laid emphasis on organisation even in the midst of Covid. A united fight of the Backward Morcha is required to reach the 150 plus target in the upcoming elections. In this regard the work is being done to bring all sections of people together This through conferences. We have formed five teams in the State and are touring the State and plans are being made to make the conference a success,” he said.

In this case Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik, BJP District President Sudarshan Moodabidri, Former MLAs A Rukmayya Poojary, Padmanabha Kottari, Former Vishwa Karma Nigam President Babu Pattar, Backward Classes secretary Vittal Poojary, General Secretary Ramdas Bantwal, Former Corporation President Santhosh Rai Boliyar and others were present.

Former Keonics Nigama President Harikrishna Bantwal, District Secretary Bharath Kumar, Mangaluru Mandala President Chandrahas Pandit, Bantwal BJP President Devappa Poojary, General Secretaries Ravish Shetty, Dombayya Arala, prominent leaders Roopa D. Bangera, Satish Kumpala, Naveen Pangalpadi, Chandrahas Uchila and others were present.

Bjp Backward Classes Morcha District President R.C. Narayana Renja welcomed the gathering.
