Mangaluru: Surathkal labourer death, 2 remanded to judicial custody

Mangaluru: Two supervisors have been remanded to judicial custody in connection with a collapse of a hill near Surathkal killing a labourer.

The accused have been identified as Mohan Vishnu Naik (44) and Nagaraj Narayan Naik (44).

The incident occurred when the rail repair works were underway. At the same time, there was sudden arrival of train as a result of which the mud on the hill collapsed and fell on the workers who were working beneath the bridge killing one and injuring the other, who has been hospitalised.
