Mangaluru: Crores of rupees are being brought in the name of Smart City to beautify Mangaluru but no one is coming forward to maintain the roads nor repair the pot-holed roads.

A glance into nook and corner of the City, one will realise that there is no pothole-free road anywhere in the City. Despite repeated protests by the public, getting rid of the issue seems like a sistant dream. Amid this, a school-going boy in Mangaluru has tried his best to close the potholes lying on the road. A video of him picking up small stones from the side of the road and throwing them into a pit has gone viral on social media. A student who saw a big pothole on the edge of a concrete road near Kankanady Flower Market in Mangaluru in the vicinity wherein two-wheelers have met with minor accidents, said he was trying to cover the pothole by picking up small stones from the side to prevent the bikes from falling onto potholes.

Overall the boy’s concern has been widely appreciated by the public.
