Mangaluru: The Subrahmanya police arrested two persons on charges of assaulting a 20-year-old man for allegedly speaking to a girl at Kumaradhara Junction in Subrahmanya on January 5.
The arrested accused have been identified as Vishwas (19) and Radhakrishna (45), informed DK SP Rishikesh Sonawane.
The arrested persons were produced before the magistrate.
Victim Afeed said in a complaint that he was confined in a room in an old building where more than 10 to 12 youth reportedly assaulted him with a wooden log and sticks, severely injuring his hands, head, and other body parts after he spoke to a girl he had met online.
The police filed a case against the accused under the IPC sections.
