Mangaluru: Increasing narcotic cases in the state unfold a new story, following the seize of 100 kg of narcotic chocolate in two parts of the city. The Mangaluru police have arrested two individuals involved in the sale of mixed drugs and chocolates in the city. The accused are identified as Bechan Sonnar (45), a native of Uttar Pradesh, who was selling bhang-mixed chocolates near Highland hospital, Falnir, another accused is Manohar Shet (49), from Mangalore. They have been arrested by the Mangalore South and North Police Stations, respectively. Separate cases have been filed in both the police stations regarding this matter.
Furthermore, it has been alleged that Bechan Sonnar, the accused from Uttar Pradesh, was selling drugs in the form of various chocolates, such as ‘Mahashakti Munaka’, ‘Bam Bam Munaka Vati’, ‘Power Munaka Vati’, and ‘Anand Chooran’ worth 5,500 in his stall. The North station Police, acting on a tip-off, raided the location near Car Street and seized approximately 48,000 worth of chocolates stored in three plastic containers. The chocolates will be send to the laboratory for further examination.
