MCC Bank, B.C Road Branch holds Customer Meet

Mangaluru: On the occasion of the Post Centenary Decennial celebration of the bank, a Customer Meet of M.C.C. Bank Ltd, B.C Road Branch, was organized at Rangoli Hall at B.C Road on Sunday, October 16 at 11 a. m.

The Meet was presided over by the Chairman of the MCC Bank, Anil Lobo.

The Customer Meet started with the Prayer. The meet was inaugurated by Rev. Fr Fredrick Monteiro, Parish Priest, St Antony Church, Allipade. Pius L Rodrigues, a Former member, of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, was the Chief guest. Arun Roshan Dsouza, Advocate & Notary, Chairman, Primary Land Development Bank, Bantwal, Sanjeeva Shetty, Businessman and Former Zonal President, Lions Club, Bantwal, Abdul Aziz, Businessman, Famous Footwear, B.C Road, Bharathi S Chowta, Former President and Panchayath Member, Amtady were the guests of honour.

Rev. Fr Fredrick Monteiro inaugurated the Customer Meet by lighting the lamp. In his inaugural speech, he appreciated the personal attention and service given to each customer at the branch, especially to the senior citizens. He emphasized that in modern society, customer meets are essential. The MCC Bank is the best and a prestigious Bank with a customer-friendly ambience. He congratulated the Bank for completing 110 years of service to society and conveyed his best wishes for all the future endeavours of the bank.

Chairman Anil Lobo, in his Presidential speech, expressed gratitude for the response of the customers to this customer meet. He expressed his happiness that the vision and the goal set by the new Board, i.e., offering personalized service to the customers has been achieved due to the cooperation of the customers and the sincere efforts of the staff. He said that the Bank is conducting Customer Meets at all the branches on the occasion of the post-Centenary Decennial celebration of the bank in order to understand the concerns and expectations of the customers and to obtain their feedback and make sincere efforts to redress their grievances if any. Bank earned a record net profit of Rs. 8.27 crore and a net NPA of 1.60 % during the last FY. The total deposits of B.C Road branch which was Rs.8 Crore in the year 2018 has crossed Rs.17 crores in 2022 and the total advances which was Rs.6 Crore in the year 2018 has crossed Rs.17.50 crores in 2022. He attributed this progress to the customers and the staff members of B.C. Road Branch. He also thanked the customers for their regular repayment of the loans and for helping the bank to reduce NPA. Bank has been providing training to the staff members for improving customer service, which is the main reason for the progress of the Bank.

He said that the Bank is offering products with minimum service charges and asked the customers to avail the credit facilities like education loans offered by the bank at very low interest. He requested the customers to advertise the products/services of the Bank through word of Mouth publicity. He invited the customers to the Post Centenary Decennial Celebration scheduled in November 2022. He congratulated the Branch Manager and staff members for taking initiative and success of the customer meet.

Pius L Rodrigues, in his speech expressed that he is a satisfied customer of the branch and he appreciated the excellent customer service offered by the branch and wished for the progress and success of the Bank. He remembered the service of all the past directors and staff members who were instrumental for the progress of the Bank.

Arun Roshan Dsouza, expressed his gratitude for the excellent service of the branch. He said that professionalism plays a vital role in attaining the confidence of the customers. The M.C.C Bank has advanced loans to entrepreneurs and has helped them to grow financially. He wished that the Bank may grow and spread its business all over the country.

While addressing the gathering, Sanjeeva Shetty said that a good customer will always help a Bank to grow. He called upon the customers to be more prudent and repay the loans availed by them regularly. He congratulated the Chairman for his brilliance; the intelligence of the Board of Directors and the dedicated service of the staff for the progress of the bank.

Ex-Director of the bank, Richard Monteiro, who rendered service to the Bank during 2008 – 2013, was honoured. The customers who celebrated their birthdays in the month of October were honoured. Senior Citizen customers who have been with the B.C Road branch since its inception were honoured.

As part of the customer meet, an open session was held to facilitate the customers to come out with their suggestions, and feedback and to share their grievances. The Customers actively took part in this interactive session and gave their valuable suggestions for the growth of the Bank.

Vice Chairman Jerald Jude Dsilva, Directors Sushanth Saldanha, Roshan Dsouza, Andrew D’Souza, Joseph Anil Patrao, J P Rodrigues, Roshan D’Souza, David D’Souza, Irene Rebello, Felix DCruz, Alwyn Prashanth Monteiro, Sharmila Diana Menezes, Dy General Manager Raj F. Menezes were also present.

General Manager Sunil Menezes explained the importance of the Customer Meet. B.C Road Branch Support Director Herald Monteiro welcomed the gathering. Branch Manager Edna Noronha proposed the vote of thanks. Roshan Crasta compered the programme.

Employees of B.C Road Branch Seema S Dsouza, Orvill Winster Dmello, Flavia Jane Pinto, Arun Dcunha were actively associated in organizing the meet.
