Mangaluru: Minister for Social Welfare Kota Srinivas Poojary and MLA Vedavyas Kamath have submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister seeking to lift weekend curfew in Dakshina Kannada district.
The memorandum states that Mangaluru City is a commercial hub. Lifting of weekend curfew will help smooth conduct of day-to-day activities. As the public has requested to lift the ban as industrialists, professionals, daily wagers, autorickshaw drivers, bus employees, and small scale businessmen would be facilitated, MLA has urged the lifting of weekend curfew in the memorandum.
However, public should strictly practice Covid guidelines for its control and take self-responsibility to follow the guidelines, further stated MLA Kamath in the memorandum.
