Mangaluru: A youth has been arrested for allegedly behaving inappropriately with a group of women.
The accused Sujith Shetty (26) of Nitta Karkala, was arrested after a complaint was filed by one of the women.
According to sources, the incident occurred in the early morning hours of Friday April 29. On the occasion of Ramzaan, the complainant and two others attended a programme held at the Huda Jumma Mosque in Thokottu.
The accused allegedly barged into the prayer room linked to the mosque while the women were inside. The accused has been alleged of illegally entering namaz room, and dragging women holding their hands and also made obscene gesture.
A case was registered at Ullal Police Station and further investigation is on.
