Mangaluru: MLA Vedavyas Kamath performed the ‘Bhoomi Puja’ ahead of the reconstruction of the damaged retaining wall of the Hindu Rudra Bhoomi (crematorium) on Tuesday, December 10.
Speaking to the media, he said, “I will strive hard to reach the expectations that the people of the city have placed on me. Along with the development of basic infrastructural facilities, it is also important that the crematoriums are developed. Based on the people’s demand, a retaining wall will be constructed at a cost of Rs 10 lakhs. I aim to completely develop my constituency in the next three years, using the funds of the state government and the Mangaluru City Corporation optimally.”
MCC members Kadri Manohar Shetty and Diwakar Pandeshwar, BJP leader Vasanth J Poojary and others were present.
