Mangaluru: In an incident reported from here, a cotton godown and a manufacturing unit owned by Ullal-based industrialist Nouman were gutted in a fire on the evening of Tuesday June 21. According to sources, the accidental fire has caused damage to goods estimated to be worth Rs. 8 lakh.
Locals informed the fire officials and tried to extinguish the fire. Fire tenders from Pandeshwara were sent to the site, but despite their efforts, the godown was completely destroyed by the fire.
Konaje police arrived at the spot and a case has been registered.
