Mangaluru: A newly-married Hindu youth hosted an Iftar party at a mosque in Vittal in Bantwal Taluk of Dakshina Kannada District.
With this novel initiative, J. Chandrashekar of Byrikatte set an example of communal harmony amid the growing unrest and communal divide in the society. Chandrashekar got married on Sunday April 24.
As many of his Muslim friends could not enjoy the wedding feast due to Ramzan month, he decided to host an Iftar party for his Muslim friends at a mosque. Thus, once again celebrating the joy of wedding festivities.
