Mangaluru: Dharmendra, the State General Secretary of the Hindu Mahasabha in Karnataka, was arrested for allegedly threatening Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai over the demolition of a temple in Nanjanagudu, Mysuru.
Dharmendra said at a press conference in Mangaluru on Saturday September 18 that the ruling BJP has betrayed Hindus by allowing the demolition of an ancient temple in Mysuru and is now attempting to cover up the act by using the Sangh Parivar to fight it.
“We didn’t spare Gandhiji, what do you amount to then? If Gandhiji could be assassinated to condemn atrocities on Hindus, do you think we won’t consider the same for you?” he had stated.
Police arrested him as a result of his provocative statements based on a complaint.
