M’luru youth allegedly gets 600 threat calls for starting fish business

Mangaluru: A youth from Kavoor allegedly received over 600 threat calls from unidentified callers, questioning his move of engaging in fish vending activities.

Sakshath Shetty, a resident of Kavoor was engaged in some other business prior to the lockdown. However, after the lockdown was announced, Shetty ventured into fish business as he found it difficult to make his both ends meet.

However, Shetty informed that he has been receiving threat calls from Thokkottu, Ullal, Surathkal and other places claiming that if he continues in the fish vending business, then he would have to face dire consequences.

Kavoor police registered a case in this regard.
