Mangaluru: SCDCC Bank Chairman Dr. M. N. Rajendra Kumar has turned back from his earlier decision to contest the Legislative Council polls to be held on December 10.
Rajendra Kumar made an official announcement in this regard on Saturday November 20. In the statement, he expressed that the reason behind the decision was that he wanted to remain political impartial standing. Further, he stated that he wanted to continue in the field of cooperation, and work for its upliftment.
Due to request of my well-wishers I had decided to contest elections that too as an independent candidate, however now even if Congress gives a ticket, I would not contest election, he added.
