Mangaluru: Despite the presence of multiple television channels in undivided Dakshina Kannada district, “Muktha” channel stands out on many counts. The channel launched recently is not just focusing on news and entertainment but is striving to bring about a radical change in the social sphere by touching the lives of people.The channel with clear vision to report the minute happenings in the coastal district has plans to spread out the cultural diversity of the area to all viewers. The channel intends to live up to people’s expectations by remaining a live witness at all times, in order to remove fear and intolerance that has gripped the modern society.
The channel aims to reach all people from the border areas of Kasargod to those living on the in the far corners of Uttara Kannada district and has drawn plans to touch 4 lakh viewers in quick time.

Dialect Tulu being one of the five Dravidian languages has enormous influence on the lives of people in the region. Tulu film industry is 45 years old today and Muktha enters the television arena, the channel remains grateful to all the leading luminaries of the Tulu film industry. It also looks back at the industry since it began its journey, the path it treaded and the major achievements over the years.
In order to honour all those people who inspired and contributed towards the Tulu film industry’s growth, a special event titled ‘Muktha Tulu film award-2016’ has been organized on the beautiful shores of Malpe.
Muktha invites all those associated with the film and television industry along with well wishers to join the celebrations at Malpe beach at 4pm on January 29.
