Mangaluru: Kankanady Town Police have arrested five persons on Monday October 18 in connection with murder held at a lodge in pumpwell during the time of Dasara on Saturday October 16. One person is still absconding.
The murdered was Dhanush from Pachanady. It is said that a fight ensued between the friends after the deceased spoke in a lighter vein about others’ family members. In a fit of rage, Dhanush was stabbed using a button knife.
Police commissioner N. Shashi Kumar informed that the deceased was staying with his sister and grandparents. And also that out of the five arrested, three persons have criminal background with cases of rioting and NDPS Act against them.
