Udupi : Udupis newly elected MLA Pramod Madhwaraj has said that he would make all out efforts to develop Udupi as a model constituency in the next five years with the help of senior Congress leaders including Oscar Fernandes, Udupi MP Jayaprakash Hegde and Urban Development Minister Vinaykumar Sorake.
Madhwaraj was speaking at a felicitation function organised by the Udupi Block Congress at the Sheshashayana Hall of Hotel Kidiyoor on May 28, Tuesday. Stating that he owed his victory to the hard works of party workers and support of the electorate, Madhwaraj promised to strive hard to fulfill the promises made in his election manifesto-Vision Udupi 2025.
Pramod Madhwaraj and his wife Supriya were honoured on behalf of Udupi Block Congress and the newly elect Congress councllors of Udupi City Municipal Council.
Jayaprakash Hegde, Udupi-Chikmagalur MP, also spoke on the occasion.B Hirianna, in-charge President of Udupi Block Congress, presided over the function. Fr William Martis, Parish Priest of Udupi Church, delivered the felicitation address.
