Mangaluru: The new research block and audiology block of Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) was formally inaugurated on Saturday, February 23.
Prof Dr Zabidi AM Hussin, Vice Chancellor, Peradana University, Malaysia inaugurated both the blocks and wished success to the institution.
The Bishop of Mangaluru and President of FMCI Most Rev Dr Peter Paul Saldanha blessed the buildings and stressed the need for updating our technical knowledge of new methods in health care. He said, “Father Muller Charitable Institutions has secured a good name and fame in the healthcare sector and it is time to invest in infrastructure that will facilitate research. The founder of this institution Father Muller himself experimented with various combinations of homoeopathic medicines and cured leprosy. Given his lead, the management decided to expand the research block of this institution with sophisticated equipment that may bring better cures. Newer diseases are emerging everyday and the new facility will give a tremendous push to finding cures for various diseases including the newer ones”.
Director of Father Muller Institutions Rev Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho sought the cooperation of all in order to make the institution as a model institution.
