Dharmasthala: One can consume non-vegetarian food and is free to enter Dharmasthala temple, said Dharmdhikari Veerendra Heggade’s personal secretary A V Shetty putting to rest the furore generated over Chief Minister’s visit to the temple on October 22.

Chief Minister Siddaramiah and his entire entourage tasted delicious coastal cuisine made of fish during their visit to Bantwal after inaugurating series of developmental works worth Rs 252 crores.

Later the Chief Minister had taken part in a programme doling out profit related benefits to self –help groups in Dharmasthala. During the course of visit to the temple town, Chief Minister visited the temple which raised a huge furore over norms to be followed during visit to the temple.

The clarification by the personal secretary to Dharmadhikari Veerendra Heggade has doused the issue once for all!
