Mangaluru: Rachana, the Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a members’ meeting at Mangalore Club on 28 May 2023 at 7 pm.  Michael Dsouza, NRI Entrepreneur and Philanthropist was the Chief Guest and The Keynote Speaker.

Michael Dsouza spoke about the power of perseverance and overcoming adversities in business. He spoke about his own life journey from a small town Puttur.

Michael Dsouza started his business at a young age, in Puttur, and moved on to Mangalore city. Later he crossed the Indian boundary to travel to the UAE. In UAE, Dsouza did his own research and market study about the Business Potential in UAE.

Real Estate Business Potential was found to be his forte, he started his own business with some local help.  Michael Dsouza did well for himself and invested more in business.

His sincerity and trust were taken for a ride when his own trusted people duped him on a large scale. This brought down his business but not his grit and spirit. He restarted and kept going forward. His wife Flavy stood by his side like a rock support and they moved on.

Michael Dsouza spoke about his integrity and faith in God which didn’t deter his spirit during his tough testing times.

His advice to the young and not-so-young entrepreneurs present in the audience was: “Your heart and mind should feel the same as what you talk about. Your business should have financial transparency. Hard work, knowledge about your job and proper management of finance are key to success in business”. He reiterated that “Your name as in reputation should be intact even if your business fails”.

All the Rachana Members and family and everyone gathered in the audience truly appreciated the talk.
