Kasaragod : A post graduate student fell out of the running bus and died on the way to hospital after a vehicle from rear ran over her in Chedikana near Nekraje on October 25.
Ushalatha , student of Badiyadka Cooperative college is the deceased.
The tragic incident took place when Ushalatha was on her way to college at 9.30 am this morning. Ill-fated victim Ushalatha boarded a crowded bus and the door opened, when her handbag arm released the locklever. Ushalatha fell out of the running bus instantly and was run over by a vehicle from behind.
Locals and bus personnel rushed her to the nearby hospital but the victim succumbed to injuries on the way.
Her body was handed over to relatives’ after conducting post-mortem at Kasargod general hospital.
Police took the bus and the driver into their custody and registered a case.
Parents and relatives had scheduled Ushalatha’s marriage March-2018.
