Mangaluru: Veteran Political Leader of Coastal region Dakshina Kannada District and pioneer of ‘Loan Mela ( Sala Mela ) Janardhana Poojary from Congress celebrates his 85th birthday on Wednesday April 27.
Presently, he is residing with his family at Chennamma Kuteera at Bastipadpu of Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada District. His contribution to the coastal area as a political leader put the District on a revolutionary path. Along with development as a politician, he has been the harbinger of social change and also has implemented citizen-oriented development programmes. His name will be etched forever in politics.
Poojary is the only person who exerts great influence on Bastipadpu of Bantwal to New Delhi in equal measure. Eventhough he has rivals among parties, out of politics, no one can question his attitude of promptness. His straightforward speech may hurt many people but most of the times those were plain truth. He has only made friends and no enemies due to his innocence.
